Skills for Work
Our Skills for Work environment provides a transitional platform where young people/adults with disabilities can be empowered on their journey to paid employment. Our retail warehouse provision, Chrysalis, in Stoke-on-Trent, offers a variety of job role work placements for supported internships, delivered in partnership with learning provider Total People. For Service Users, Parents & Carers
What you can expect
A professional, enjoyable and relaxed work and learning environment. Walk into Chrysalis, experience the teamwork, good communication and differing personalities on your journey to paid employment. You will be supported by our Occupational Therapist and well-qualified job coaches, matched to your needs, who will help you develop or fine tune the skills needed for your chosen career. If you are interested in applying for one of the job roles, then please speak to your local SEN/EHCP team for them to make the referral via ehcp@totalpeople.co.uk
For Employers

- Occupational therapy intervention which supports a graded approach to learning and task analysis
- Support making reasonable adjustmentschange to remove or reduce the effect of an employee’s disability so they can do their job. For Professionals
What you can expect
- A bespoke Supported Internship Work & Life Skills programme developed in partnership with Total People, a trusted and experienced learning provider www.totalpeople.co.uk
- A dedicated multidisciplinary team encompassing the tutor, the job coach, the occupational therapist, the employment advisor and Work for Skills manager
- Excellent chance of attaining employment at the end of their internship
