It would be desirable to have experience of supporting people with a learning disability, this can be on a personal or professional level. Key responsibilities:
- The provision of person-centred support to adults with learning and other behavioural disabilities, providing them with the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop the daily living and decision-making skills they need, within their own home.
- Work with service users and their families, supporting them in the decisions they make about how they live their lives and ensuring that any personal needs are met.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant polices and legislation.
- Ensure effective communication links between members of the team, people supported, other departments and external agencies
- To promote equality and diversity within the service and the wider community
- Support Service Users to take control of their lives and to maximise their inclusion and participation in the community according to their needs, wishes and preferences.
- Attend staff meetings and supervision meetings and contribute to the promotion of good practice across the service
- Record, Report and maintain complete and accurate records including Service Users personal files and financial records
- The role requires the provision of overnight care based on 40 hours a week on a rota basis and will include some weekend work.
- The role requires the applicant to be trained to the requirements of the CQC regulation or to be prepared to undertake the required training.

- Experienced Support Worker
- You will be committed to providing the highest care standards.
- Excellent communication.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Learning disability, Understanding Autism, Mental Capacity (level 2 or be working towards)
- Full clean driving licence.
- Able to work on a 24/7 based rota.
